Frequently Asked Questions
What happens when a card is scanned ?
After the card has been scanned , the optical card reader ( OCR ) begins to read the textual information, the application uses its intelligent search engine to correctly place the data into the appropriate field of the database, for example ID card number, Name, Address, Issue Date and Date of Birth.
Is the system linked to the DVLA or any other data base ?
No. All data scanned is sent to a secure network server and only you have access to your collected data.
Will ID Vista help detect a fake ID ?
Yes, It will certainly help. But it must be remembered that ID Vista does not abdicate the management or security from checking the ID in the first instance. The Optical Card Reader ( OCR ) only recognises and validates genuine ID. If a form of ID is scanned and is not recognised then the system will simply display INVALID ID . However if someone spends enough money to create a very good fake ID, then no scanner will be able to detect that it is a fake. Their are an increasing amount of company's that advertise and sell fake ID. ( click here to see our display of fake ID -( put id fakes on from www.phatism.com)
