In order to comply with data protection the following must be visible to all customers whose IDs are being scanned.
ID VISTA DATA PROTECTION NOTICE
ID MAY BE A CONDITION OF YOUR ENTRY / ID VISTA IS VOLUNTARY
By allowing us to use the ID Vista for scanning and retention of the details from the ID card scanned you are agreeing to the following.
1) Permission to use your information for verification and marketing purposes.This means that this venue could possibly send you marketing material / invitations to events at this venue.
2) That we are able to share your information with other licensed premises should you be banned from this venue or banned through the pub watch scheme.
3) That we can share this information with police and local authorities should you be banned from this venue.
If you do not wish to receive marketing information you can be removed from our marketing data file.
The 2003 licensing act covers four main principles, one of which is the protection of children, this venue and it's staff has a legal obligation to ensure that we do not serve alcohol to anyone under the age of 18 years, additionally we are required by law to prevent crime and disorder, prevent public nuisance and have an obligation to public safety. To assist us in complying with these legal obligations, we may require you to produce passport, driving License, PASS ID, or other National Identification, which may be processed through ID Vista.
ID VISTA OPERATING IN THIS VENUE
ID Vista is a computer system which takes a scanned copy of the identification you present us with, checks your age and whether you are listed on our database of people who have been barred from this venue. ID Vista is used to help us achieve our aim of providing a safe and enjoyable environment for our customers, where only those people who are admitted are of legal age and are unlikely to interrupt other customer's enjoyment.
ID VISTA IS VOLUNTARY
You are not obliged to permit us to scan your identification through ID Vista; however, we retain the management's right to refuse entry if you do not permit us to Scan your identification. By permitting us to scan your ID, we will use your information for the following reasons, your personal safety, a log of customers on our premises, to assist with police and other local authorities where a request has been made, with other venues should you be barred from this venue and we deem it would benefit the public, staff and assist in fulfilling the any of the four main principles of the 2003 Act, marketing statistics, directly mailing of marketing information relating to this business.
THE SECURITY OF YOUR INFORMATION
We will do our best to keep your information secure and will only use it for the stated purposes for which is was gathered, we will not take your information out of the EU and we will keep your information for only as long as the statute of limitations on personal injuries is set, which mean a minimum of three years. You may have access to the information we hold on you at any time by making a written request to our data controller. Should you wish to be omitted from marketing you may contact us at any time, by contacting the venue manager or by writing to us at the address detailed below.
